In this technical report, the results obtained by the INRiM group “Gravimetric mixtures and organic analysis” for the participation in the Pilot Study CCQM-P239 “CO2 Isotope Ratios (expressed as δ13C and δ18O) in Carbon Dioxide in air mixtures” are presented. The results include the values obtained both during the preparation of the mixtures, before they were sent to the BIPM in October 2024, and those following the return of the gaseous mixtures to INRiM in September 2025, which were carried out to verify their stability. The pilot study CCQM-P239 is aimed at evaluating the level of compatibility of laboratories’ measurement capabilities to value assign isotope ratios of CO2, (δ13C vs VPDB and δ18O vs VPDB-CO2) in carbon dioxide in air gas mixtures. The study will also provide insight into the traceability chains and reference standards being employed to currently achieve these measurement results. The comparison, organized by the BIPM as a Model 2 comparison, requires that CO2 in air mixtures that have been previously value assigned by participants, are sent to the BIPM for comparison against the BIPM isotope ratio mass spectrometry - IRMS reference method for CO2 isotopes in CO2 in air mixtures. In the comparison protocol, participants are requested to submit a minimum of two and maximum of four standards that are representative of the standards they regularly work with over the CO2 in air amount fraction range (300 – 800) μmol/mol and CO2 isotope ratios expressed as δ13C delta values in the range (+2 / -43) ‰ vs VPDB.
