INRiM involvement in the SCIEF project consists in the characterization of the Black Body (BB) reference cavity that will be used as an absolute radiometric calibrator for ASI mission FORUM (Far infrared Outgoing Radiation Understanding and Monitoring). The characterization will be performed both in temperature (WP 7.1) in order to understand the thermal behavior of the BB, and in terms of effective spectral emissivity (WP 7.2) through the measurement of the spectral emissivity of the coating to be used for the cavity.

Abstract
