The work consists in the comparison of the measurements of the geometrical characteristics of hardness diamond indenters (Vickers and Rockwell) between the INRIM measuring system and the EASYDUR measuring system developed for SIMT, Shanghai, China. The work described in the report was carried out in July 2008, by the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM) of Italy (formerly Istituto di Metrologia "G. Colonnetti" (IMGC) of the National Research Council (CNR)) at EASYDUR Laboratory in Induno Olona (VA), Italy. The results have confirmed the capability of the EASYDUR measuring system to calibrate hardness diamond indenters following the ISO standards specifications (ISO 6507-2 and ISO 6508-2).
