The numeric simulation of acoustic car treatments is based on different models and different parameters that can be measured in several manners. Choosing a suitable model is the first step that will be explained from the point of view of a car maker, with respect to different practical requirements. The accuracy required on the measured parameters by the simulation may differ however from the accuracy required during the quality control on the supplied treatments. It is highly important to assess both of these accuracies and to find out the right way to perform the measurements. For instance, we will compare two kinds of measurement for the airflow resistivity of porous materials and analyze the respective practices and uses in an industrial context. Advantages and practical problems will be discussed on the basis of testing results.

Abstract
